The NBBA Classic Finals
During the 2007 NBBA season, the owners hauled their bulls to events
throughout the year and competed in hopes that their bulls would make the
NBBA finals. Their patience and hard worked finally paid off! There were
the top 25 bulls at the Classic Finals, the NBBA Classic Division is for
the 3 and 4 year olds. When all the dust settled and the results were in,
the top 10 bulls were announced!
Alvin Jones , Jones Rodeo Genetics clinched 1st place with his
bull 661 Apollo 1, scoring 91 in round 1 and 94 in round 2, earning
$20,000.
Lufkin Ranch and Rodeo clinched 2nd place with their bull L 414
Maverick, scoring 87.5 in round 1 and 89.5 in round 2, earning $8,628.00.
They also clinched 3rd place with their bull L 308 Derringer,
who scored 89 in round 1 and 87.5 in round 2, earning $6,471.00. K & K
Cattle Company partner with Lufkin Ranch and Rodeo on this bull.
Greg Willingham and Fred Robinson took 4th place with their
bull, 026 Wild Nights. He scored 87.75 in round 1 and 88.5 in round 2,
earning $5,392.50.
Hurst, Ohl, Garrett, and Dyess took 5th place with their bull,
84 Carney Man. He scored 87 in round 1 and 88.75 in round 2, earning
$4,583.63.
Lyndal Hurst took 6th place with their bull 312 Full Throttle,
scoring 87.5 in round 1 and 88 in round 2, earning $3,774.75.
L & G Cattle Company placed 7th with their bull 492 Skat
Jacket, scoring 87.75 in round 1 and 87.5 in round 2, earning $3,235.50.
Bobby Harrison placed 8th with his bull, 434 Sam T Straight,
scoring 85.25 in round 1 and 89.75 in round 2, earning $2,696.25.
Bruce Bucking Bulls and Tino Martinez placed 9th with their
bull, 451 Wine Me Up, scoring 85.5 in round 1 and 89.5 in round 2, earning
$2,157.00.
L & L Cattle Company and Lonnie Brown placed 10th with their
bull 402 Copan Cat, scoring 86.75 in round 1 and 87.5 in round 2, earning
$1,887.38.
Buckles were awarded to the top 10 bulls, Champion Buckle, Reserve
Champion Buckle and 8 Top 10 Finalist Buckles. All the NBBA Contractors
received the CBR World Championship jackets by the CBR. Seven of the top
10 bulls were 3year olds, 2007 and will compete again this year, 2008, as
4 year olds. We would like to congratulate all the winners on their bulls
placing and doing so well! We look forward to seeing the 3 year olds
returning as 4 year olds and competing in 2008!
