The NBBA offers two levels of Aged Event competition, the Three Year Old
Derbies and the Classics. The Three Year Old Derbies are for Three Year
Old Bulls only and the Classics are for Three and Four Year Old Bulls, Four Year
Olds have priority on entering.
ALL BULLS MUST BE EITHER ABBI REGISTERED OR DNA VERIFIED THROUGH THE NBBA,
THE BULLS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE A REGISTERED SIRE AND/OR DAM.

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: ALL BULLS
COMPETING IN ANY NBBA SANCTIONED EVENTS, REGARDLESS OF STATE REQUIREMENTS, MUST
HAVE A 180 DAY CURRENT TB TEST, 180 DAY CURRENT BRUCELLOSIS AND 30 DAY CURRENT
HEALTH PAPER. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Three Year Old Derbies
The NBBA Three Year Old Derbies are for Three Year old Bulls meeting
the general requirements set forth in the NBBA Standing Rules and Bylaws.
In order for a bull to be eligible to compete in an NBBA Sanctioned Three
Year Old Derby, the bull must have either been MOUTHED AND CLEARED at an NBBA
Sanctioned Two Year Old Futurity; OR MOUTHED AND CLEARED at an NBBA Mouthing
Validation. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS!!!
In all NBBA Sanctioned Three Year Old Derbies the event producer has the
option of requiring the owners to "Bring Your Own Rider" or have an established
bull riding.

Classics
The NBBA Classic Events are for Three and Four Year old Bulls
meeting the general requirements set forth in the NBBA Standing Rules and
Bylaws. In all NBBA Classics, the Four Year Old bulls will have priority
upon entering the event; if the event does not fill, Three Year old bulls will
be taken on a first come first serve basis.
In order for a bull to be eligible to compete in an NBBA Sanctioned CLASSIC, the bull must have either been MOUTHED AND CLEARED at an NBBA
Sanctioned Two Year Old Futurity; OR MOUTHED AND CLEARED at the NBBA
Mouthing Validations. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS!!!
In all NBBA Sanctioned Four Year Old Events the event producer has the option
of requiring the owners to "Bring Your Own Rider" or have an established bull
riding.

LIMITED OPEN AGED EVENT DIVISION
The NBBA Limited Open Aged Event Division is for Three and Four year old
Bulls meeting the general requirements set forth in the NBBA Standing Rules and
Bylaws. The Limited Open Division was implemented into the 2006 NBBA
Finals as a "class within a class".
The Limited Open Aged Event Division is a "class within a class" for bulls
entered into the NBBA Three Year old or Classic events, who's earnings do not
exceed that years maximum required amount. For an additional entry fee,
the bull is competing for a separate purse, the bulls score will be used twice.

The NBBA uses a six (6) judge system where the high and low marks are
excluded in all NBBA sanctioned events.
In all NBBA sanctioned Three Year Old Derbies and Classics, event producers
will be required to hire an additional judge as the "official back judge".
The NBBA prohibits the use of anabolic steroids and reserves
the right to test, or to allow the event management to test, any bull at any
time.
In addition, the NBBA reserves the right to pull DNA on any
bull at any time.
All bulls competing in NBBA sanctioned derby and classic events must have their horns tipped to
the size of a half dollar. Any bull arriving at an event without their horns
tipped may be fined or face disqualification by the event management.
