**PRESS RELEASE REGARDING NBBA / CBR CLASSIC (3 & 4 YEAR OLD CLASSIC) FINALS NBBA and CBR Join Forces for 2007 NBBA Classic Division Finals
WHITESBORO, Texas June 13, 2007 – The National Bucking Bull Association proudly announces that the 2007 NBBA Classic Finals will be held in conjunction with the 2007 CBR World Championships at the South Point Hotel & Casino Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada January 25-26, 2008!
The NBBA Classic Finals invades Las Vegas, as the Top 25 bulls (by year-end point standings, with consent of the CBR directors) will challenge the best bull riders in the world during the First Round of the CBR World Championships! The Top ten bulls after the initial performance will advance to the Second Round of the CBR World Championships where the NBBA will then crown its 2007 NBBA Classic Champion!
“This is win-win situation for the NBBA and the CBR” says NBBA President Marty Foutch. “We are both thankful and excited to be a part of the CBR World Championship”. The CBR extended the invitation to the NBBA Board of Directors after having stellar bull performances in each of the first two Classic events held in conjunction with the CBR. “We have been impressed by the quality of the Classic bulls the NBBA has provided to our events thus far and we are looking forward to matching their top bulls against the top bull riders at our World Championship in Las Vegas” said CBR COO Rusty Creech.
The NBBA first inquired with the Classic bull owners to determine whether or not there would be support for the proposed Classic Finals format. “We offered the opportunity to the breeders/owners of the Classic level bulls, and with their support, we have elected to move forward and take advantage of this great opportunity with the CBR. I think it will help everyone involved and is great exposure for the industry”, explained Marty Foutch.
